An Overview of the System
The system uses state of the art Global Positioning technology to capture the position of your animal or equipment, up to date mobile telephony to transmit the location to a computer system that will verify that your animal or equipment is within a monitoring zone of your choice. The system checks the position every two minutes or five minutes, depending upon which service you have subscribed to.
The technology is built into a custom designed tracking unit that fits into a pouch for easy attachment to the animal or equipment For horses, the tracking unit can be attached to the head collar, or to a collar around the horses neck or to a rug. The collar is also suitable for other animals.
The computer system will compare the position sent by the tracking unit and alert you if the position is outside the monitoring zone that you will have specified. The alert will be by text message or by e-mail.
You can also see the position of your animal or equipment in real time via a dedicated web site as the computer system superimposes the location over an aerial map of the local vicinity. Should your animal or equipment be outside the monitoring zone for any reason, you will be able to track where it is going using your web site, provided always that the tracking unit is still attached and is transmitting.
Please go to the how it works page to see more details on the technology and to the tailoring the system page to learn more about how you set up the system to deliver the service that you require.
